I was created in 2024 on a 14,000 m2 rural property. My builder was also born on Mallorca. He has been in the construction business for more than 50 years, and has built countless houses, hotels and apartment complexes. I can proudly say that I have all his professional experience, and now I am at your disposal.
My entire property is surrounded by a 506-meter-long Mallorca natural stone wall. It took a long time to build because it is a kind of “Tetris” to put the right stones in the right place, or to make them fit with a hammer. Within this wall, there are two large, automatically opening gates at the upper and lower property boundaries for access, as well as a separate entrance door. Both gates and the entrance door are made of rust steel and coffee-coloured.
When I look down at myself, I feel a little proud that soon the whole beauty of my existence will be completed. Now it will only take a few days until the pool is finally full of fresh water, which I am particularly looking forward to. I am also curious about the glow of the pool at night when the pool lights make the water shine.
Next week I will be very busy, my 4 bathrooms and the guest toilet will be completed. Toilets, faucets, sinks, shelves will find their place and be ready for use. I am already tiled.
Sometimes I feel a little sad that I'm supposed to be sold. I don't know who I'll meet. In any case, I hope to find a family that will spend many happy years here. I want to see them laugh, dance and party. I want to see them cooking and barbecuing. I want to hear them say that falling in love with me was the best decision of their lives. I want guests and friends of my owners to be amazed when they visit me, and my family should feel happy and proud of all the compliments they will hear. That is the goal.
I will do my part, because not only am I a large, beautiful Mallorca country house, but I am also intelligent. For example, I have a home automation system so you can control my air conditioning and underfloor heating with your cell phone before you arrive. So, it will either be cool or warm when you arrive. I also have an alarm, and I am directly connected to my friends at the police station, just in case. However, we are safe in the whole of Mallorca. Almost nothing ever happens here. The advantages of an island, no one can run away.
An open house is to take place on April 19. This will most likely be the day when I meet my new owners, if someone isn't faster before then. So many people who will come to see me. I, for one, will give them a warm welcome. I will shine in my best light and justify my fair price. I am determined to do so, because the most important thing for me is to be occupied. Here I am, waiting for my new owners to evoke the good spirit of the house in me, and we will make history together.
I don't need to worry too much though, because who doesn't want to find a brand-new property when they dream of a finca and thus be the first to live in it. It's the same with a car. That special smell of a new car..., isn't it?
But now back to us, I'm in a rush, there's a lot going on here and still a lot to do. The schedule must be kept, there is no way around it. Do you agree if I first present my construction plans so that you can examine the layout and size? You have my word that as soon as the pool is full of water and the baths are installed, you will get a visual impression, immediately and exclusively.
I'll be happy to share my schedule with you and tell you what I'm planning to do. On Wednesday, March 12, a landscape architect will visit me. The poor man will be forced to incorporate all his skills and ideas into this project. Citrus fruits, fig, olive and almond trees must be planted... He must create a Mediterranean ambience and prepare an internet presentation by the day of the open house. Bathrooms and guest toilets will be ready on March 31. The pool and the exterior lighting of myself, also on March 31. And on April 19, I must be 100% presentable.
We live on a Mediterranean island, and the clocks don't tick like they do in other countries. Everything is very relaxed, and people place more value on life itself than on the hustle and bustle of everyday life as you may know it. So, tranquilo, no pasa nada. Hay que disfrutar de la vida. That's why all of Europe feels so at home in Mallorca, my homeland. Nevertheless, I will try with all my might to keep to the schedule. Stay tuned, I just must put on my make-up...
